Join the Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) in observing National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (NCVRW) from April 7 to April 13. This year’s theme is Honoring Our Past. Creating Hope for the Future., which recognizes both the progress already made to date and the efforts of justice agencies, victim service providers, and other stakeholders to advance crime victim services that are inclusive, accessible, and trauma-informed.
OVC has released resources to assist organizations participating in NCVRW. The 2019 NCVRW Resource Guide contains sample outreach materials, statistics, professional artwork, and tutorials for use in public awareness campaigns. OVC also offers tips for collaborating with partners and developing a public awareness campaign using traditional and social media.
OVC will also honor individuals, programs, teams, and organizations that have demonstrated outstanding service in supporting victims and victim services on Friday, April 12 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. ET at the National Archives in Washington, D.C. Visit the National Crime Victims’ Service Awards Ceremony registration page to learn more and register to attend the event.
