Learn about Funding Opportunities under the Fiscal Year 2018 Body-Worn Camera Policy and Implementation Program Solicitation
Join the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) for the “Fiscal Year 2018 Body-Worn Camera (BWC) Policy and Implementation Program (PIP) Solicitation” webinar on Tuesday, May 15 from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. ET. During this webinar, participants will be introduced to the principles and goals of BJA’s BWC PIP and learn about the requirements for the solicitation.
BJA’s BWC PIP will support law enforcement agencies seeking to pilot, establish, or enhance comprehensive and evidence-based BWC policy and implementation programs. Applicant eligibility varies by category of funding, but is generally limited to public agencies of state government, units of local government, and federally recognized American Indian tribal governments that perform law enforcement functions. Applications for this funding opportunity are due Thursday, May 31, 2018 by 11:59 p.m. ET.
The four grant categories are:
- Category 1: Implementation or Expansion of BWC Programs Through State or Regional Consortia;
- Category 2: Implementation or Expansion of BWC Programs for Small and Mid-Sized Agencies;
- Category 3: Implementation or Expansion of BWC Programs for Large Agencies; and
- Category 4: Implementation or Expansion of BWC Programs for Extra-Large Agencies.
