On July 19, 2018, the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), in partnership with the Milwaukee, Wisconsin Police Department (PD), presented the "Milwaukee, Wisconsin Police Department Networks of Criminals (NOC) Youth Offender Webinar." The webinar outlined Milwaukee PD’s Networks of Criminals approach – a novel, integrated analytic approach that integrates criminal history data, threat intelligence, and social network analysis to identify youth offenders who are most responsible for impacting the city’s motor vehicle and robbery trends. The webinar also featured the NOC program as a case study of a flexible approach that can be adapted for other jurisdictions and types of crime, including communities that are part of BJA’s National Public Safety Partnership initiative that are experiencing gang- and gun-related crime challenges.
