Join the Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) in observing National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (NCVRW) from April 2 – April 8. This year’s theme is Strength. Resilience. Justice., which represents the vision for the future in which victims feel strengthened through the support they receive, organizations show resilience in responding to challenges, and communities achieve collective justice and healing.
OVC has released a number of resources to assist organizations that wish to participate in NCVRW, including:
- The 2017 NCVRW Resource Guide: Contains outreach tools and sample materials to use in awareness campaigns.
- Crime and Victimization Fact Sheets: Offer snapshots of current research victimization and crime statistics in the United States, covering topics such as crime trends, homicide, assault, financial crime, intimate partner crime, urban and rural crime, and burglary, robbery, and theft.
- Tips for developing an awareness campaign and communicating your message.
