Register for NIJ-Funded Online Courses in Death Investigation

The University of North Dakota is offering an National Institute of Justice (NIJ)-funded training series on Death Investigation for American Board of Medicolegal Death Investigators (ABMDI), coroners, law enforcement, or physicians. This series is made up of four online courses that can be taken at any time:

  • Basics of Death Investigation.
  • Mental Health First Aid.
  • Cultural Competency.
  • Basics of Forensic Pathology.

This program is based on scientific principles and established, nationally recognized, standards of death investigation and forensic pathology. It addresses a critical need for training of Medical Legal Death Investigators in the United States. 

The courses are available for continuing education credits and are free to qualified candidates until September 30, 2015.
