Register for a Grants 101 Training Hosted by the Oklahoma Association of Chiefs of Police

Join the Oklahoma Association of Chiefs of Police and the Tulsa Community College Campus Police Department for the “Grant Writing and Federal Grant Procurement” training on Monday, June 12 from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. CT and Tuesday, June 13 from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. CT. The 12-hour training will be held in-person at Tulsa Community College, located at 3727 East Apache Street, Tulsa, OK 74115.

During the training, participants will:

  • Learn how to research and identify potential funding sources and write winning proposals that get funded.
  • Learn the proposal format used by many public, private, and federal funding sources. 
  • Gain a better understanding of the criteria used by funding agencies to determine whether a grant proposal should be funded or rejected. 
  • Learn how to identify corporate, foundation, and government funding agencies and how to tailor responses to information found in the request for proposal.
  • Learn about the importance of relationship-building and donor/grantor cultivation through obtaining community and political support before submitting a proposal to any private organization or government agency. 

The training is free to attend; however, only 50 seats are available. Participants may earn up to 12 Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET) accredited hours for attending the training.
