Register for the BJA National Sexual Assault Kit Initiative Solicitation Webinar on March 8!

The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) will host an informational webinar on the National Sexual Assault Kit Initiative (SAKI) FY 2016 Competitive Grant Announcement on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. ET. The purpose of this webinar is to provide an overview of the solicitation and highlight changes from the FY 2015 solicitation. Webinar participants will have an opportunity to ask BJA staff questions pertaining to the solicitation.

The National SAKI provides funding to support multidisciplinary community response teams engaged in the comprehensive reform of jurisdictions’ approaches to sexual assault cases resulting from evidence found in previously unsubmitted sexual assault kits (SAKs). The goal of the SAKI is the creation of a coordinated community response that ensures just resolution to these cases, whenever possible, through a victim-centered approach, as well as to build jurisdictions’ capacity to prevent the development of conditions that lead to high numbers of unsubmitted SAKs in the future.

Applicants must register with Grants.gov prior to submitting an application. All applications are due in Grants.gov by 11:59 p.m. ET on April 26, 2016.
