Register for the American Probation and Parole Association’s 44th Annual Training Institute in San Francisco, California

The American Probation and Parole Association (APPA) will host its 2019 44th Annual Training Institute in San Francisco, California from August 18 to August 21. The institute’s sessions will focus on the theme, “Passion, Courage, and Endurance: Transforming Community Corrections.”

Community corrections professionals currently face various challenges and opportunities to incorporate diversity, equity, and inclusion into justice system program development, culturally competent and trauma-informed service delivery, and organizational change. In response, the institute aims to address critical social justice issues in community corrections across jurisdictions, including how justice reform and innovative practices focused on promoting public safety shape the adult and juvenile justice systems. Participants will have the opportunity to connect with criminal justice professionals working in community corrections at the federal, state, and local level. The event is open to those serving in all areas of community corrections, including pre-trial, parole, probation, juvenile justice, treatment, social work, residential programs, and victim services.

APPA also invites justice professionals in the fields of community corrections, juvenile justice, and treatment to exhibit at the institute’s expo. Organizations may reserve a booth to share current products, services, and technologies with institute attendees.

Register for the APPA Training Institute today.
