Each year, at the National Forum on Criminal Justice, the National Criminal Justice Association (NCJA) honors five Outstanding Criminal Justice Programs (OCJP) for providing effective services to address crime-related issues in their communities.
Programs will be evaluated on the following dimensions:
- Does the program address an important criminal justice issue?
- Does the program demonstrate collaboration among criminal justice and allied agencies or disciplines?
- Can the program provide quantitative evidence of its effectiveness in accomplishing program goals?
- Does the program leverage federal, state, local or other non-governmental funds and resources?
- Can the program be easily replicated in other jurisdictions?
NCJA will host an informational webinar for potential applicants on February 24 from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. ET. During the webinar, Executive Director Cabell Cropper will discuss the elements that go into a submitting a successful OCJP Award application package, and will outline what the evaluators look for in a winning program.
