Learn About Nontraditional Responses to Support Survivors of Overdose

Join the Bureau of Justice Assistance’s Comprehensive Opioid Abuse Program team for the webinar “Strategies for Reaching Overdose Survivors, Including Peer Support” on Thursday, September 20 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. ET. The webinar will focus on the use of peer support specialists, who are individuals with lived experience who are also in recovery. Peer support specialists serve as important resources for individuals in recovery by helping survivors of overdose safely return to their communities and facilitating access to treatment and other services.   • Key steps for developing a community peer support network; and
