Learn About a Free Application to Improve the Investigation of Child Abuse and Child Fatality Cases

Join the National Criminal Justice Training Center for the webinar “Child Protector App: An Investigative and Educational Tool” on Wednesday, May 30 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. ET. During the webinar, participants will learn about Child Protector, a free application designed to enhance the investigative, administrative, and judicial handling of child abuse cases and child fatalities by providing educational narration, illustrations, and examples of injuries in young children commonly encountered by Children’s Division workers, legal professionals, law enforcement personnel, and medical providers.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Navigate through various decision trees within Child Protector;
  • Improve communication among multidisciplinary team members on recommendations for investigations and medical evaluations of suspected physical child abuse; and
  • Use Child Protector to enhance educational materials.

The webinar will be presented by Dr. Terra Frazier, Child Abuse Pediatrician, Children’s Mercy Hospitals and Clinics, Kansas City, Missouri.
