Join the National Reentry Resource Center Webinar – Responding to the Second Chance Act Adult Reentry Program Utilizing Mentors

Please join the National Reentry Resource Center on May 15 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. EDT for the “Responding to the Second Chance Act Adult Reentry Program Utilizing Mentors” webinar. In this webinar, officials from the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) will explain the grant program and application process. These grants will provide up to $1,000,000 for a 36-month project period to nonprofit organizations (including tribal nonprofit organizations) with a documented history of administering comprehensive, evidence-based reentry services. The goal of this program is to promote more effective reentry for formerly incarcerated individuals through the utilization of comprehensive, evidence-based wraparound reentry plans. A core component is the involvement of trained mentors who support the individuals’ preparation for release and help link them to programs and services in the community.

Presenters:

• Andre Bethea, Policy Advisor, BJA

• Nicole Jarrett, PhD, Senior Policy Analyst, Download the solicitation.
