Join the CSG Justice Center for a Webinar on Developing Approaches for Responding to People with Mental Illnesses
Register to join the Council of State Governments (CSG) Justice Center for the webinar “Developing a Community-Wide Approach to Responding to People with Mental Illnesses” on Thursday, June 8 from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. ET. Funded by the Bureau of Justice Assistance, this webinar will inform law enforcement and behavioral health agencies across the country about the initiatives in New York City, New York, to train officers and enhance interagency responses to people with mental illnesses.
Additionally, presenters will share effective ways to develop specialized law enforcement-based programs, the benefits of expanding and strengthening police-mental health collaborative efforts by including key community partners, and practical guidance, such as examples for building sustainable collaborative partnerships. Finally, presenters will discuss different challenges they have faced and related lessons learned.
