Please join the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) and the International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training (IADLEST) on Monday, March 30 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. EDT for the webinar Building Analytical Capacity: A BJA IADLEST Webinar for Police Professionals. This webinar will cover a set of key principles and best practices that can help agencies effectively develop and manage crime analysis programs and make the best operational use of crime analysis products. The session covers important concerns with training (both crime analysts and officers), data quality, development of policies and plans, and crafting targeted responses based on crime bulletins and reports. Whether your department is just getting started with crime analysis or wants to make better use of the capabilities you already have, this presentation can help you improve your approaches to crime analysis and, as a result, reduce more crime.
This webinar will be presented by nationally-known Crime Analyst Christopher W. Bruce. Since 2011, Christopher has been the Analytical Director for the Data Driven Approaches to Crime and Traffic Safety (DDACTS) program, providing workshops, training, and technical assistance through IADLEST. He is also the past president of the International Association of Crime Analysts (IACA) and worked as an analyst in Massachusetts for over 17 years.
