Please join the Association of Prosecuting Attorneys (APA) for their June Final Fridays webinar, HIV and the Law: How Infectious is the Virus?, which will be held on Friday, June 27, from 3 – 4 p.m. EST. During the webinar, Dr. David Wohl, MD, Associate Professor and Site Leader of the UNC AIDS Clinical Trials Unit at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill will discuss the evolution of the HIV pandemic and current research and practices which are reducing the likelihood of someone who is HIV positive infecting others. The webinar will inform prosecutors, investigators and victim advocates of the advances in medicine and the likelihood that certain conduct will or will not spread the virus.
Dr. Wohl also serves as the Director of the North Carolina AIDS Education and Training Center and Co-Director of HIV Services, NC Department of Public Safety. He is one of the foremost experts in the diagnosis and treatment of HIV.
