Join APA’s Final Friday’s Webinar – Planning & Implementing An Offender-Focused Domestic Violence Strategy

Please join the Association of Prosecuting Attorneys (APA) for the August Final Friday’s webinar, “Planning & Implementing An Offender-Focused Domestic Violence Strategy,” on Friday, August 26 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET. During this webinar, Marty Sumner, Chief of Police (Retired) of the High Point (NC) Police Department will review a promising focused deterrence strategy aimed at perpetrators of domestic violence. His presentation will include what the initiative involves, how it was developed and implemented, and how results demonstrate a significant reduction in interpersonal violence-related homicides, lower recidivism rates and arrests for offenders, harm reduction for victims, and fewer repeat calls for service.

The webinar will be moderated by APA’s Community Prosecution & Violent Crime Division Director, Robert Hood. All prosecutors, law enforcement officers, and other criminal justice system professionals seeking a more effective and complete domestic violence response are encouraged to join this webinar.
