Please join the National Criminal Justice Association (NCJA) webinar, Beginning the Conversation: The Affordable Care Act, Medicaid Expansion and Your Justice Agency. The webinar will take place on Wednesday, February 19 at 3 p.m. EST and is the first in a series of webinars that will highlight how the expansion of health coverage can be leveraged to enhance public safety. During the webinar, participants will gain a basic understanding of the new law, learn about implications of Medicaid expansion and receive detailed information on how expanded coverage could impact state and local justice agencies. Additionally, the participants will learn about efforts currently underway in the corrections field to take advantage of Medicaid eligibility expansion.
Speakers for the webinar include Steve Rosenberg, President of the Community Oriented Correctional Health Services, and Dan Belnap, Senior Health Policy Analyst for the Legal Action Center in Washington, D.C. Mr. Rosenberg has more than 30 years of experience providing technical assistance and directing projects that increase access to health care for the most vulnerable populations. Mr. Belnap has years of experience focusing on national advocacy efforts to expand effective health policy responses to drug and alcohol addiction.
