BJA NTTAC Releases Request for Proposal for Technical Assistance Due October 1, 2021

The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) National Training and Technical Assistance Center (NTTAC) requests proposals from the provider community to fulfill a need for technical assistance services to the field. Through this request for proposal (RFP), BJA NTTAC is seeking a provider with expertise in focused deterrence, community engagement and trust building strategies to work closely with BJA to provide an expert analysis of a site’s Smart Policing Initiative (SPI) focused deterrence strategy. BJA awarded SPI grant funds to a grantee to develop, implement, and evaluate a prolific offender list focused specifically on repeat violent and drug offenders, particularly those using guns, and individuals responsible for illegal distribution of narcotics, specifically opioids. BJA seeks an independent, expert assessment of the SPI-supported focused deterrence strategy and associated activities to ensure its adherence to established best practices, as well as principles of transparency, unbiased data, and procedural fairness.

BJA NTTAC is pleased to support this opportunity to engage a nationally recognized organization in providing these services.

The response to this RFP should be sent via e-mail to BJA.NTTAC@ojp.usdoj.gov no later than 5:00 p.m. ET on October 1, 2021. If you have any questions, please contact BJA NTTAC at the e-mail above with ‘ATTN: Kevin Stewart BJA NTTAC Manager’ in the subject line or via phone at 1-833-872-5174.
