Join the Bureau of Justice Assistance’s Comprehensive Opioid Abuse Program team to learn about mobile medication-assisted treatment (MAT) services during the webinar “Mobile MAT in Practice” on Thursday, January 24 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. ET. During this webinar, presenters will share how mobile MAT units overcome barriers – such as availability and geography – to provide opioid abuse treatment services.
MAT is a nationally recognized treatment approach that combines Food and Drug Administration-approved medications with counseling and other behavioral intervention. This webinar will discuss how mobile MAT differs from brick-and-mortar treatment facilities, as well as the kinds of services provided and where, who can receive services, and considerations such as patient confidentiality and obstacles to implementation.
Webinar presenters will include:
- Kelly Whitman, Vice President of Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Services, BestSelf Behavioral Health; and
- Tylica Pope, Director of Critical Time Intervention Program, Medicaid Redesign Team, Permanent Housing and Recovery Connections Opioid Mobile SUD Team, BestSelf Behavioral Health.
