Join the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) to learn about a fiscal year (FY) 2018 funding opportunity during the webinar “Responding to BJA’s FY 2018 Comprehensive Opioid Abuse Program (COAP) Solicitation” on Tuesday, May 15 from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. ET. During this webinar, participants will learn about the grant application process for the FY 2018 COAP site-based solicitation, which supports the planning, development, and implementation of comprehensive, coordinated efforts to identify, respond to, and support those impacted by the opioid epidemic.
Applications for this funding opportunity are due June 7, 2018. Awards under this grant program will range from $100,000 to $1,500,000 over a 24- to 36-month project period, and are available to states, units of local government, and federally recognized American Indian tribal governments. The six grant categories are:
- Category 1: First Responder Partnerships;
- Category 2: Technology-Assisted Treatment Projects;
- Category 3: System-Level Diversion Projects;
- Category 4: Statewide Planning, Coordination, and Implementation Projects;
- Category 5: Harold Rogers Prescription Drug Monitoring Program Implementation and Enhancement Projects; and
- Category 6: Public Safety, Behavioral Health, and Public Health Information Sharing Partnerships.
