Join the National Center for Campus Public Safety for the webinar “The Importance of Learning from Averted and Completed School Attacks” on Tuesday, January 22 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. ET. During this webinar, participants will learn about the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services’ Averted School Violence (ASV) database and its use for campus safety and higher education.
The ASV database is a free resource available to those with a role in school safety at all levels of education. The database enables users to collect, analyze, and share information on averted and completed acts of school violence occurring since 1999. The webinar will review key findings from the ASV database, including a National Police Foundation comparison of averted incidents of school violence to completed incidents.
Webinar presenters will include:
- Dr. Frank Straub, Project Director, National Police Foundation;
- Jeff Allison, Director of Government and External Relations, International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators; and
- Kristina Anderson, Executive Director and Founder, Koshka Foundation.
