Financial Crimes Against Seniors
Back to Course List PDF version of Course Description
There is no tuition fee for this NW3C class for anyone actively employed with a State, Local or Tribal Law Enforcement agency.
For any class with a duration of 2 days or more, NW3C will charge Federal employees $750.00 per student. Agencies will receive an invoice upon completion of the training.
The FCAS training adds to students’ investigative skills and interviewing techniques to prepare them to more successfully pursue cases of financial exploitation of seniors. NW3C curriculum developers worked with experts in elder abuse and financial exploitation from many areas of the country to construct this three-day class.
FCAS Topics:
•What is Elder Abuse?
•Who are the victims and why are they targeted?
•What are the crimes and who commits them?
•Resources and community awareness.
Adult protective service investigators are also encouraged to attend this training, since the multi-agency approach to these crimes has a proven record of success.
The training helps begin the networking process that can continue out of the classroom and into real cases, capitalizing on the strengths of each type of agency.
There are 3 FCAS classes currently scheduled.
