Family and Youth Engagement in School Justice Partnership: Voices from the Field (Nov 2017)

This National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges webinar will highlight the need for authentic family and youth engagement in work with the School-Justice Partnership Project, with an emphasis on the challenge of engaging parents, other caregivers, and youth in diversion opportunities that address behavioral health needs.

Excerpts from a new podcast series called Strategies to Build Family and Youth Engagement in School Responder Models will be shared, elevating the family and youth perspectives on engagement and highlighting strategies that have been successful in practice.

Experts from the School-Justice Partnership Project will be featured in the following episodes:

  • Episode 1 - "Helping Students Thrive by Supporting their Parents and Caregivers";
  • Episode 2 - "Authentic Family Engagement: It's More than a Pizza"; and
  • Episode 3 - "Engaging Students to Provide Behavioral Health Supports in Schools".
