All Technical Assistance Providers for CTAS Grantees were invited to present a TTA Overview at the in-person FY23 CTAS New Grantee Orientation in Seattle, Washington on January 9-10, 2024. The Tribal Law and Policy Institute is a TTA provider for CTAS - Purpose Area 3 grantees with Tribal Court projects under the Tribal Court, Justice Systems, Intergovernmental Collaboration Project; and for Tribal Healing to Wellness Court projects under the Tribal Justice TTA Tribal Healing to Wellness Courts project.

Center staff Karen Otis, Sheila McCarthy, and Taylor DeClerck traveled to present 4 sessions at the 2023 Momentum: Prevention, Justice, Recovery Conference hosted by the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) on December 5-7, 2023. The first session titled "Innovative Practices in the Courtroom" provided the fundamentals for trauma-informed care, education on how Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) communities are impacted by the legal system, the use and impact of language and the importance of adapting courtrooms.

Center staff hosted a VTC Summit on April 2nd and April 3rd, 2024, at the National Veterans Resource Center in Syracuse, NY. This in-person summit was an opportunity for teams from the 2019 cohort (California, Ohio, Maine, Pennsylvania, and Virginia) and 2022 cohort (Arkansas, Minnesota, Oklahoma, and Oregon) to connect, collaborate, and learn about veteran-specific topics through plenary and break-out sessions. Attendees included about ten VTC stakeholders from each of the nine different states that the Center has worked with on VTC strategic planning.
