During this webinar, experts provided an overview of Your Money, Your Goals, an easy-to-use toolkit designed to help organizations improve the financial literacy of clients who are identified as low-income or vulnerable, including those who are returning to the community from incarceration. Your Money, Your Goals includes modules and tools on credit reports, debt management and debt collection, bill prioritization, identity protection, how to submit a complaint about financial products and services, and more.

The Colson Task Force, established by Congressional mandate, is a nine‐person, bipartisan, blue ribbon panel charged with examining challenges in the federal corrections system and developing practical, data‐driven policy responses. With presentations from federal criminal justice leaders, this first meeting focused on key issues facing the federal criminal justice system related to prison population growth, costs, and overcrowding. The insights shared during this public session informed the Task Force as it works to identify opportunities for criminal justice reform.

Requests this quarter included a request from a Syracuse NY newspaper on the transition of women from jail to the community, and other requests for information on topics such as mentoring women, their increased rate of incarceration, and alternatives to prison.
