Training Delivery - Phone (teleconference)

John Maki, Executive Director, requested a teleconference presentation for the state’s funding board on JAG funding trends. Elizabeth Pyke conducted a teleconference presentation with the committee tasked with strategic planning and funding. The presentation included the history of Byrne JAG and how other states deploy their grant funding, the push to strategic planning, EBPs, what states are doing, and the general direction justice funding is moving. The committee also wanted information regarding states’ movement away from task forces, per the 2014 data collection.

IIR staff members continued to support the National Fusion Liaison Officer (FLO) Program Coordinators group. This effort includes management of the FLO point-of-contact list, coordination and support of quarterly teleconference calls, assistance with agenda development, identification of and communication with presenters, and preparation of teleconference discussions and action items. A quarterly teleconference occurred on November 18, 2015, to discuss current trends as well as best practices and lessons learned from FLO programs within the National Network of Fusion Centers.
