John Maki, Executive Director, requested a teleconference presentation for the state’s funding board on JAG funding trends. Elizabeth Pyke conducted a teleconference presentation with the committee tasked with strategic planning and funding. The presentation included the history of Byrne JAG and how other states deploy their grant funding, the push to strategic planning, EBPs, what states are doing, and the general direction justice funding is moving. The committee also wanted information regarding states’ movement away from task forces, per the 2014 data collection. The committee members listened carefully and asked very good questions. The group is performing their planning task in a serious, thoughtful manner.
