Two senior Center staff members conducted a site visit to the Mille Lac Band of Ojibwe to assist the tribe in completing an assessment of its child welfare system. This is part of a larger needs assessment that will be done of the tribal justice system as a whole.

Two Center staff members visited the San Carlos Apache Tribe to conduct a justice system needs assessment. The visit included interviews with key stakeholders, data collections, system mapping, and other activities. The Center will continue to work with the San Carlos Apache Tribe to develop concrete findings and recommendations.

Two senior Center staff conducted a two-day site visit to the Yavapai-Apache Nation, where they began working with tribal justice officials to conduct a justice system needs assessment.

Site Visit 1: April 14-16, 2015
PERF assessment teams (comprised of two PERF staff members and three SMEs) conducted a site visit to the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police on April 14-16, 2015. Prior to the site visit, PERF worked with Pittsburgh PD to establish people to interview, and to identify policies and other directives, reports, and data on the homicide response, the homicide unit, the investigative process, and related subjects that can be reviewed beforehand.
