Conduct three policy-specific analyses in JRI states. Urban has identified three states: South Dakota, Georgia, and South Carolina. As part of this TTA, Urban will facilitate teleconferences with state leadership and stakeholders to garner support of the analyses and gain access to key data. As of June 30, 2015, we executed data sharing agreements with agencies in South Dakota and started to receive data. We were also in conversation with several stakeholders in Georgia and South Carolina.

CJI is working with the Utah Department of Corrections to help the agency analyze its current LSI-R data to better understand the risk profile of the agency, the appropriateness of its current cutpoints, and set appropriate cut-points when the agency transitions to the LSI-RNR.

As part of its assessment role, the Urban Institute monitors the progress of local and state Justice Reinvestment sites. Urban does so by collecting and assessing monthly reports on technical assistance to the sites, information on sites' subaward funding, local subaward requests, and letters of interest. Urban reviews materials provided on the sites' progress. In this role, Urban also reaches out to technical assistance providers from the state and local sites and holds semi-structured interviews with site stakeholders.

Engaged at least 10 states in the PBSS project by finalizing a data use agreement with the PDMP and obtaining requested data. From date received first PBSS funding award to received data from 10th state engaged (KY).
