CJI is working with the Utah Department of Corrections to help the agency analyze its current LSI-R data to better understand the risk profile of the agency, the appropriateness of its current cutpoints, and set appropriate cut-points when the agency transitions to the LSI-RNR.

Using data provided by the Utah Department of Corrections (UDC), the Crime and Justice Institute (CJI) analyzed the state’s LSI-R and 36-month recidivism data to answer three key questions:
1) What is the current risk profile of Utah’s probation/parole population?
2) Are the current LSI-R risk level cutoffs used by Utah appropriate for the target population?
3) What risk levels should Utah initially set once the state begins using the LS/RNR?
Please respond to the Performance Metrics below. The Performance Metrics questions are based on the TTA Type indicated in the General Information section of the TTA.

- General information regarding the request for TTA services, i.e., the who, what, where, when, and why.
- The organizational and/or community needs specific to the request for TTA services.
- The benefits or anticipated outcomes from the receipt of TTA services.
By submitting this application to BJA NTTAC, I understand that upon approval of this application for TTA, the requestor agrees to keep BJA NTTAC informed of any circumstances that may impact the delivery of the TTA, including changes in the date of the event, event cancellation, or difficulties communicating with the assigned TTA provider.
