Meeting with the CA Stepping Up state and associations partners to discuss partners'?updates and priorities for 2019, review the status of current Stepping Up activities taking shape in California and begin planning Stepping Up activities and priorities for 2019.

Meeting with Steinberg Institute to discuss Stepping Up and potential overlapping state priorities and programs.

Meeting with the California Association of Counties to discuss Stepping Up and overlap with new state policies and programs.

Interested in a family/children assessment tool for the sentenced population to help drive referrals to family resources and ensure this effort fits in with implementing a more comprehensive, system-wide risk assessment tool.

Provide guidance on developing and implementing a pretrial release risk assessment tool.

CSG Justice Center staff presented to the statewide convening of assistant chiefs of probation to provide them with the foundational research behind a graduated response policy and why one is being implemented.?CSG staff also answered questions and provided support around roll out and implementation of the policy.

The Sheriff's Office requested assistance with a jail assessment tool and developing a risk tool for new pretrial agency.

Provide Southern Ute Tribe with assistance through initial program, policy and procedure development stages to initiate pre-trial services.
