Peyton,
I have two quick inventory questions:
1. Missouri victim goes to Kansas hospital for SANE exam. Criminal activity happened in Missouri, but kit is located in Kansas (not counted in Kansas SAKI inventory). Do we add to Missouri Inventory or not? (I suspect yes, but not sure)
RESPONSE: Yes, because if the MDT decides the kit can be lead to charges or criminal case in Missouri it will need to be included in the inventory.
2. Hospital reported nine sexual assault kits at their location. They say 3 are sexual assault and 6 are domestic violence investigations. Do we add to Missouri Inventory or not? This one is not a clear as Murder Only without sexual component. What is your advice? Add them or not?
RESPONSE: If the 6 domestic violence investigations did not include a sexual assault component then don’t include them in the inventory, but if they did include them.
