On August 19th, Margaret diZerega will moderate a panel entitled "Engaging Public Housing Authorities: How to Expand Housing Options for People on Supervision." The panel will take place at the annual APPA conference and will examine how community corrections leaders are engaging public housing authorities to revise their policies, how reentry stakeholders can advocate for their clients gaining access to housing, and how this work connects to Vera’s Opening Doors initiative.

• Provided TA to the Traditional Council of Togiak Tribal Court in their initial implementation planning of their CA3 Grant. Togiak has experienced some internal transition with staff related to their grant and NAICJA was able to provide critical information and support for their first steps in implementation.

The conference provides training for the adult and juvenile treatment court teams located throughout the state. Kerwin Henderson of AU presented at a session titled, Veterans Courts National Research. Participants heard about current research regarding veteran treatment courts and will have the opportunity to ask questions about the results of American University's recently-concluded survey.
