The City of Gary, Indiana requested training support under their comprehensive violence prevention strategy work to establish a therapeutic determent program for young black males in their city. Daryl Turpin of the Pinwheel Group was selected to fulfill the request and facilitated the H.E.A.T. train-the-trainer curriculum to 10 community stakeholders on March 20, 2017 in Gary, Indiana.

The Chicago, Illinois Police Department (PD) requested travel support for representatives from Chicago PD to attend the Los Angeles, California Police Department (LAPD) Crime Fighters Conference. BJA NTTAC provided travel support for six representatives from Chicago PD to attend the LAPD Crime Fighters Conference on February 8 - 9, 2017 in Los Angeles, California.

The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services requested training on behalf the Utica, New York Police Department (PD) in investigating and clearing non-fatal shooting incidents. John Skaggs was selected to fulfill the request and provided the Non-Fatal Shooting Investigations training to Utica PD and the Oneida County District Attorney's Office from May 15 - 17, 2017 in Utica, New York.

The Milwaukee, Wisconsin Violence Reduction Network (VRN) site requested Blue Courage training. Blue Courage Inc. was selected to fulfill the request, and provided an executive overview, a two-day Blue Courage course, and a train-the-trainer session to 51 members of the Milwaukee PD on April 28th and May 16-19, 2017 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The Little Rock, Arkansas Police Department (PD), as part of the Little Rock Violence Reduction Network (VRN) site, requested Blue Courage training. Blue Courage Inc. was selected to fulfill the request and provider a command level class, mid-management class, and train-the-trainer course to 82 members of the Little Rock PD on April 3-4, 6-7, and 17-21st in Little Rock, Arkansas.

The Lawrence, Massachusetts, Police Department (PD) requested assistance to streamline the collection, collation, analysis, and dissemination of data products. BJA NTTAC referred the requestor to Christopher Bruce, who provided assistance directly to Lawrence PD without BJA NTTAC support.

The Chicago, Illinois Police Department (PD) requested one day of technical assistance to help roll out and incorporate the Blue Courage: The Heart and Mind of the Guardian training into the Chicago PD Police Training Academy's curriculum. Chicago PD also requested one Blue Courage: The Heart and Mind of the Guardian training. Blue Courage, Inc. was selected to fulfill the request. Blue Courage, Inc. provided the technical assistance on February 2, 2017 and delivered the two-day training to 49 newly promoted sergeants on February 27 - 28, 2017, in Chicago, Illinois.
