The Chicago, Illinois Police Department (PD) requested an assessment of its crime-fighting strategies and tactics. During Phase III, Dr. Malinowski and his team continued assessment efforts, which included examining the incident command system's application to crime-fighting, rebooting the CompStat process, and developing an effective crime-fighting plan. Dr. Malinowski delivered the final report to Chicago PD in December 2016.

The Chicago, Illinois Police Department (PD) requested an assessment of its crime-fighting strategies and tactics. Dr. Malinowski and his team of subject matter experts were selected as the providers. During Phase II, the team assessed Chicago PD's crime-fighting efforts, which included existing crime-fighting strategies, the CompStat process, and crime analysis efforts, and to develop further recommendations for improving Chicago PD's overall crime-fighting strategy. Dr. Malinowski delivered the final report to Chicago PD in November 2016.

The Flint, Michigan Police Department (PD), as part of the Flint Violence Reduction Network (VRN) site, requested an assessment of their evidence and property room policies and procedures and an evaluation of their property and evidence facilities. Evidence Control Systems, Inc. (ECS) was selected as the provider. ECS conducted a site visit to assess the Flint PD’s evidence and property room procedures and facilities. ECS delivered the final report to Flint PD in July 2017.

The Pasco, Washington Police Department (PD) requested support to purchase Blue Courage participant kits. Blue Courage Inc. was selected to fulfill the request and provided 80 participant kits to Pasco PD in January 2017.

The Tucson, Arizona Police Department (PD) requested the Tact, Tactics, and Trust (T3) train-the-trainer course. Polis Solutions was selected as the provider and provided the three-day T3 training course to 26 officers and sergeants within the Tucson PD on January 9 - 11, 2017, in Tucson, Arizona.

The Detroit, Michigan Violence Reduction Network Site (VRN) site requested continued support for the Michigan State University (MSU) School of Criminal Justice, Crime Analysis Field Placement Program. MSU student analysts were placed in the Detroit Police Department (PD) Gang Intelligence Unit, Detroit PD and Michigan Department of Corrections Gang Intelligence Unit, Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Detroit Public Schools Police.

The city of Fort Lauderdale, Florida requested technical assistance around the topic of crime analysis to advance their current capabilities. CRH Crime Analysis Consulting, Inc. was selected as the provider for this engagement and developed the preliminary framework of a crime analysis algorithm designed to improve agency response to juvenile and property crimes. Development of the algorithm was temporarily put on hold in January 2017 due to agency infrastructure concerns, but work was resumed and completed as part of new BJA NTTAC engagement in July 2017.

The Alameda County Sheriff's Office, as a part of the Oakland/Richmond Violence Reduction Network (VRN) site, requested a Blue Courage Academy. Blue Courage, Inc. provided a two-day Blue Courage course, two-day Train the Trainer, and one-day of technical assistance to 23 law enforcement officers from the Alameda County Sheriff's Office and two other local agencies from November 14 - 18, 2016 in Richmond, California.
