The Arkansas City, Kansas Police Department (PD) requested technical assistance in leveraging crime analysis software to better address property crimes and high rates of traffic accidents in the jurisdiction. Stewart Bruce was selected to fulfill this request and provided onsite evaluation services of existing resources, met with agency personnel and other law enforcement and community stakeholders, and developed a comprehensive final report with recommendations for how the PD can better deploy resources. Mr. Bruce delivered the final report to the PD in July 2017.

Tecora Martin from the District of Columbia Department of Corrections requested information on wellness training for correctional officers. BJA NTTAC provided the requestor with a list of providers that offer wellness training for correctional officers.

The Flint, Michigan Police Department, as part of the Flint Violence Reduction Network (VRN) site, requested support to send two detectives to Glynco, Georgia to attend an internal affairs investigation training. The detectives were unable to enroll in the training. BJA NTTAC closed the request on July 27, 2017.

The St. Louis, Missouri Police Department (PD), as part of the St. Louis Violence Reduction Network (VRN) site, requested an assessment of their non-fatal shooting investigations practices. The Institute for Intergovernmental Research (IIR) was selected to fulfill the request and delivered the final report to the St. Louis PD in June 2017.

The West Memphis, Arkansas Police Department (PD), as part of the West Memphis Violence Reduction Network (VRN) site, requested homicide investigation management training. The Institute for Intergovernmental Research was selected to fulfill the request and provided the Homicide Investigation Management Training to West Memphis PD and other local law enforcement agencies from June 26 – 29, 2017 in West Memphis, Arkansas.

The Chicago, Illinois Police Department (PD) requested travel support for representatives from Chicago PD to attend the Los Angeles, California Police Department (LAPD) Crime Fighters Conference. BJA NTTAC provided travel support for six representatives from Chicago PD to attend the LAPD Crime Fighters Conference on February 8 - 9, 2017 in Los Angeles, California.

The Bureau of Justice Assistance requested information and assistance to kick off the curriculum development process for a training on labor trafficking investigations for law enforcement and prosecutors. Christina Horst, BJA NTTAC TTA Delivery Team Lead, provided guidance directly to Linda Hammond-Deckard, BJA Policy Advisor, from January to June 2017.

The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services requested training on behalf the Utica, New York Police Department (PD) in investigating and clearing non-fatal shooting incidents. John Skaggs was selected to fulfill the request and provided the Non-Fatal Shooting Investigations training to Utica PD and the Oneida County District Attorney's Office from May 15 - 17, 2017 in Utica, New York.

The Milwaukee, Wisconsin Violence Reduction Network (VRN) site requested Blue Courage training. Blue Courage Inc. was selected to fulfill the request, and provided an executive overview, a two-day Blue Courage course, and a train-the-trainer session to 51 members of the Milwaukee PD on April 28th and May 16-19, 2017 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
