This technical assistance will help with the classification and prioritization of high-risk violent offenders. It will allow SCDPPPS to focus its limited resources on those most likely to reoffend, which will increase the safety of domestic violence victims and the community. One objective for this technical assistance is to have a subject matter expert provide assistance with finalizing the DVSA, including determining if the most appropriate metrics are measured and scored appropriately.

The Jefferson County District Attorney's Office is requesting technical assistance and training from the Center for Court Innovation through BJA NTTAC. This vital TTA is to provide guidance in the development of a prosecutor-led diversion program and support during pilot launch. Requested TTA includes guidance in program development, samples of existing program materials, development of data collection protocols, selection of software system, curriculum workshop, and phone calls for advice during pilot launch.

The Tulsa County, Oklahoma District Attorney’s (DA) Office, as part of the Tulsa National Public Safety Partnership Site, is requesting technical assistance to increase its understanding of the impact of the McGirt v. Oklahoma (2020) Supreme Court of the United States case on crime victims, case flow, and case outcomes. The report development occurred between February 8, 2020–August 27, 2021.

Aurora PD reached out to Joan Brody for assistance in applying for a body-worn cameras grant. During the course of this conversation, Joan recognized the potential that Aurora PD has the potential to gain access to more private and public funding. Requestor withdrew the request November 2020.

Travis County is requesting assistance with analyzing and addressing the rising jail population and to better understand the increase of racial and ethnic minority bookings. They need assistance with reviewing their current law enforcement practices and to further their knowledge in the increase of minority arrests. By updating the SIM and jail booking data, Travis County will be able to identify effective pre-arrest/pre-booking strategies for implementation.
