BJA NTTAC provided travel support for two individuals to travel to the conference that took place October 24 – 26, 2016 in Tempe, Arizona.

The Little Rock, Arkansas Violence Reduction Network (VRN) site requested training for their prosecution team in special offenses, such as domestic violence and sexual assault. The National Association of District Attorneys was selected as the provider and the training is scheduled for November 2017.

The Los Angeles County, California, Sheriff's Department, as part of the Compton Violence Reduction Network (VRN) site, requested assistance to outline a strategic plan for violence reduction in Compton. Nola Joyce was selected to fulfill the request and conducted multiple site visits to organize strategic planning meetings to identify desired outcomes, goals, and planning strategies. The site visits occurred from July - September, 2016, and Ms. Joyce delivered the final strategic plan in November 2016.

The Alameda County Sheriff's Office, as a part of the Oakland/Richmond Violence Reduction Network (VRN) site, requested a Blue Courage Academy. Blue Courage, Inc. provided a two-day Blue Courage course, two-day Train the Trainer, and one-day of technical assistance to 23 law enforcement officers from the Alameda County Sheriff's Office and two other local agencies from November 14 - 18, 2016 in Richmond, California.

The Little Rock, Arkansas Police Department (PD), as part of the Little Rock Violence Reduction Network (VRN), requested technical assistance in Project Safe Neighborhoods and Drug Market Intervention. Michigan State University (MSU) School of Criminal Justice was selected to provide the assistance, and conducted a two-day site visit to administer and assessment pool and provide assistance on partnerships, collaboration, and implementation of evidence-based practices. The final report was delivered to Little Rock VRN in November 2016.

The Compton, California Violence Reduction Network (VRN) site requested training in the grant procurement and application process. Albert Stokes and Mark Fero were selected to fulfill the request and provided Grants 101 training to personnel from the Compton VRN site on January 27, 2017 in Compton, California.

The St. Louis, Missouri Violence Reduction Network (VRN) site requested a Blue Courage: Heart and Mind of the Guardian course as well as a Blue Courage Academy. Blue Courage, Inc. delivered a two-day Blue Courage course to 18 members of the St. Louis Metro Police Department from October 6 - 7, 2016 in St. Louis, Missouri. Blue Courage, Inc. also delivered a four-day Blue Courage Academy to 19 officers from the St. Louis Metro Police Department and three other local agencies from October 24-27, 2016 in St. Louis, Missouri.
