Provided remote TA to Ingram State Technical College in AL, and the ADOC.Provided information and resources to the Office of Senator Brian Schatz (HI) on offering college in prison. Connected staff at the Higher Education Initiative in TN to those in the NC Department of Public Safety regarding use of technology, specifically internet, in prisons. Provided remote TA to the University of Baltimore, as it developed a new college in prison program.
On June 29, 2016, the National Network held its monthly video call between NNSC Director David Kennedy, Strategic Policy Partnership Director Bob Wasserman, and chiefs of police for five police agencies implementing the Group Violence Intervention (GVI), including Chattanooga, South Bend, Hartford, New Haven, Los Angeles and Bridgeport. To start, the chiefs gave updates on local conditions in their cities as related to GVI implementation and reviewed information from the previous call.
