Identify and document common functional requirements of prosecution case management systems, and publish a set of functional requirements to improve the monitoring and tracking of charges for more effective reporting of firearm purchase disqualifying records. JAN-JUNE 2016 PROGRESS UPDATE: SEARCH staff solicited existing functional requirements documents among several jurisdictions and national associations to gather and assess baseline functionality across the country.

Research Partners from a number of sites and Julia Ryan from LISC attended the Annual Meeting of the American Society of Criminology, November 18-21 in Washington, DC. LISC and the Police Foundation arranged an informal get together so BCJI representatives could network and meet one another.

Dana Hunter from the Baton Rouge BCJI site and Matt Perkins from LISC presented on how BCJI and developer-law enforcement partnerships can contribute to neighborhood revitalization and safety efforts at the Solutions for Restoring Neighborhoods convening, November 6-7 2015, at the Marriott Convention Center in New Orleans, LA.

LISC and the Center for Community Progress partnered to offer sites the opportunity to attend CCP?s Code Enforcement Academy in Dallas, November 16-17. BCJI partners from Erie, Omaha, Milwaukee, Highland County, Phillipsburg, Rockdale County and Worcester were approved for peer learning grants to cover all or part of travel costs.

On September 24 the Center for Community Progress highlighted the work of Flint?s University Avenue Corridor Coalition (UACC) in a Remake or Break webinar featuring Flint Project Coordinator Tom Wyatt. The webinar highlighted UACC?s cross-sector partnership of universities, law enforcement agencies, health care providers, government, businesses, organizations, and residents.

Seattle BCJI team members presented August 6 at the Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America Conference in Indianapolis. Their session under the Cross-Sector Collaborations track was: ?A Community-led, Place-based Approach to Reducing Crime that Affects Youth at Hotspots.? San Bernardino BCJI staff were in attendance.

The Lowell and Worcester sites spoke about BCJI and the intersections of community development, public safety and health in Boston on September 21st. LISC sponsored a training as part of a professional development series for Massachusetts community development corporations (~ 25 attendees).
