At the annual Global Strategic Solutions Working Group (GSSWG) priority scoping meeting, the GSSWG agreed to address priorities via GSSWG task teams or offline groups who volunteered to explore the topics further and report their findings/activities to GSSWG. Priorities include: 1. Opioid Abuse, 2. Juvenile Risk and Needs Assessment, 3. Video Evidence Guidance, 4. Trustmarks.

To address problems and discuss enhancements to the Justice Domain of the National Information Exchange Model (NIEM).

The Criminal Intelligence Coordinating Council (CICC) meeting was held September 15, 2014, at the El Pas Intelligence Center, located in El Paso, TX. The CICC meeting included an in-depth roundtable discussion on current issues affecting criminal intelligence development and sharing, an overview of the function and mission of EPIC and how the CICC can support the work of EPIC.

Joint CICC/ICP Meeting: A joint meeting of the Criminal Intelligence Coordinating Council (CICC) and IACP’s Intelligence Coordinating Panel was held on October 27, 2014, during the IACP Annual Conference. The purpose of this joint meeting was to bring together CICC members and members of the intelligence-related committees within IACP to discuss current and emerging activities and initiatives related to criminal intelligence. The meeting included updates from the CICC as well as updates from the IACP committee chairs and roundtable discussion on how to enhance coordination efforts.

• On November 18-19, 2014, IIR staff supported a Global leaders/staff planning session in Tallahassee, Florida. This annual event provides Global leaders an opportunity to more directly interact with staff from all components of Global (i.e., Working Groups, Councils, and Task Teams), complementary programs and offices (such as the National Information Exchange Model), and cross-cutting activities such as Global outreach.

• On August 10-13, 2014, IIR staff supported the longstanding Global member agency and justice information sharing partner the National Criminal Justice Association’s National Forum on Criminal Justice, held in Breckenridge, Colorado. In addition to participating in the workshops, staff provided direct assistance to the event and BJA leadership by drafting a slide deck to accompany the Deputy Director’s presentation on "Justice-to-Health Exchanges: Implications for the Criminal Justice Life Cycle."

The IJIS Institute's Mid-year Briefing is a technology briefing and training conference focused on information sharing and safeguarding standards.
Objective Reference: Attended conference to facilitate interaction of Global deliverables and standards with other attendees from the justice information sharing community at large.

o On September 22-24, 2014, IIR staff facilitated contributions to the BJA-supported Harold Rogers Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) National Meeting, held in Washington, DC.

o On August 19, 2014 IIR provided privacy technical assistance to NGA in its sponsorship of privacy technical assistance to the Iowa Department of Corrections for the sharing of protected health information (PHI) between IA DOC and community treatment providers.
