• On November 18-19, 2014, IIR staff supported a Global leaders/staff planning session in Tallahassee, Florida. This annual event provides Global leaders an opportunity to more directly interact with staff from all components of Global (i.e., Working Groups, Councils, and Task Teams), complementary programs and offices (such as the National Information Exchange Model), and cross-cutting activities such as Global outreach. The primary purposes of this meeting were to prepare for the new year, setting the course for the Global Initiative and Global Advisory Committee for the next 12-18 months; conduct Global leadership business; and to prioritize special projects, if necessary. This planning session was particularly important in anticipation of a Chairman and Vice Chairman transition early in the 2015, and ensuring that process runs smoothly and with full support and guidance from the outgoing leadership team.
