In response to several proposals and presentations at the Fall 2016 Global Advisory Committee (GAC) Meeting, BJA and Global hosted an informal technology brain storming session in early 2017 to extend the discussions and map possible next steps. Highlights from the GAC meeting—providing an excellent springboard for our upcoming roundtable—include the attached Addressing Barriers to Justice Information Sharing: A New Strategy, proposed by Scott Came, Global Executive Steering Committee member and SEARCH Executive Director, and “Information Technology Guiding Principles,” outlined by OJP CIO Brian McGrath.

Takeaways from this collegial session were ideas to operationalize these concepts (and complementary efforts) through innovative approaches and strategic recommendations to BJA, Global, and industry leaders as well as information sharing partners.
