In October 2015, CSG Justice Center staff submitted a memorandum to justice reinvestment Phase II funders documenting the progress Pennsylvania made through JR implementation and technical assistance. With the submission of the memorandum, intensive technical assistance to support the implementation of Pennsylvania's 2012 justice reinvestment legislation has concluded.
In November, CSG Justice Center staff worked with the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) to address hurdles to spend-down progress. PCCD was granted a no-cost extension through March 31, 2016.
CSG Justice Center staff also held regular check in calls with key leaders from the Department of Corrections (DOC) and the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole (PBPP) regarding sustainability of key justice reinvestment provisions.
