The Indiana state agency administrator (SAA) attended the Institute for State Criminal Justice and Public Safety Executives, held December 14 - 15, 2017 in Charleston, SC. This event, co-hosted with the National Governors Association, included attendance at the SAA breakout session were the NCJA provided information about the SAA TTA program, options for training, and online resources that will be available.
The NCJA provided additional information about the SAA TTA program during a September 8 phone interview related to the state's JAG investments as part of the NCJA's biennial survey on Byrne JAG expenditures.
The Indiana SAA contacted the NCJA on January 5, 2018 for information related to regional training. On February 7, a follow-up request was made for information on the regional SAA TTA trainings and the CJCC meeting; the SAA indicated an interested in attending more than one event and adding these dates to their calendar. The NCJA staff contacted the IN SAA with information about the upcoming Strategic Planning training to be held in Tampa, FL end of April. Additional follow-up was made regarding the content, structure of the training and schedule of events. The IN SAA team attended all three regional trainings: April 26-27, 2018 in Tampa, FL; July 25-26, 2018 in Ft. Worth, TX; and September 24-25 in Minneapolis, MN.
