NCJA's Byrne JAG Data Office Hours program, created and facilitated as a partnership with SEARCH, helps state administering agencies with data related needs and challenges and is designed to be extremely customizable to the needs of the SAAs and their data-related baselines. During our TTA monthly check-in with the Virgin Islands on 5/10, they mentioned needing help with data. They have been trying to create a SAC with little traction for the past few years. Data is difficult to come by and is only available upon request. When they receive data, there is no one to analyze it.

BJA Program Managers reached out to us asking us to engage with the Virgin Islands, as they have a hold on all of their JAG awards since the requirement to complete a strategic plan was added in FY2019. The Virgin Islands submitted a 2.5 page strategic plan document to one of the BJA program managers in August of 2022, which was forwarded on to us. NCJA staff worked in tandem with the Virgin Islands' staff to add additional information and clarification to their existing JAG strategic plan to ensure it met all federal requirements.
