During this two-day site visit, CSG Justice Center staff met with GDC SRR steering committee to review their outcomes evaluation timeline, met with research partners from Applied Research Services, and provided targeted TTA about the implementation of the COSA model for the treatment of sex offenders. On the second day, CSG JC staff toured Lee State Prison, one of the SRR pilot sites.

Community policing presents members of law enforcement with an opportunity to collaborate with community supervision agencies to reduce recidivism and increase public safety. This webinar provides an overview of collaborative programs in three locations across the country—Salt Lake County, Utah; Overland Park, Kansas; and Portland, Maine—that incorporate law enforcement, community supervision, and behavioral health agencies.

In this webinar, officials from the U.S. Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Assistance and the National Reentry Resource Center explain the Second Chance Act Smart Supervision grant program and application process. The grant program will provide up to $750,000 to assist state, local, and tribal agencies in developing and testing innovative strategies and implementing evidence-based probation and parole approaches that improve supervision success rates, effectively address individuals’ risk and needs, and reduce recidivism.

CSG JC staff conducted the quarterly implementation site visit to PBC, FL for IRES Pilot Project. NIC's Employment Retention Principles and Practices training (3-day) and meeting with lead application CJC to discuss RENEW database data collection and interventions that will count towards dosage treatment. CSG JC staff also met with core planning team to discuss employment tracks and opportunities for cross program referrals.
