CSG Justice Center staff conducted a strategic planning session with DJJ leadership and Research to help develop reentry performance measures and quality assurance as it connects to the agency's new re-integration policy and procedure manual. 

CSG staff and Nevada core planning team met for a follow up site visit May 10th and 11th to follow up on implementation of items listed in the attached site visit report from the January 10th visit. 

CSG staff and Arizona core planning team met for an on-site visit May 8th and 9th to review the implementation strategy to make sure the goals outlined in the proposal are supported by grant activities. Additionally, CSG staff visited the new Maricopa Reentry Program.

CSG Justice Center staff met with Secretary Guice and Deputy Secretary Joe Prater to discuss opportunities for state-wide support for Stepping Up in North Carolina. 

During the month of January, CJI staff worked with the Task Force to finish the policy development process. In February, the full Task Force report was finalized and published with policy recommendations.

CSG staff and the Indiana core planning team will tentatively meet on April 10th to review the implementation strategy to ensure the goals outlined in the proposal are supported by grant activities. Additionally, CSG staff will discuss an implementation plan for the roll out of the RNR Simulation Tool in IDOC. 

CSG Justice Center staff conducted a site visit to FY16 Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction to attend kickoff event. The goal for the event was to engage supervisors and officers in the development process for the JIYA Initiative.

CSG Justice Center staff met with VOA Oregon staff and partners to support them in preparing for project implementation. Site visit goals included: 

·        Identify ways to build upon the successes of existing VOAOR programs and enhance culturally responsive programming to meet the needs of the target population
·        Identify potential gaps and challenges in program implementation and how the NRRC can best provide implementation support
·        Strengthen/build upon implementation action plan with key deliverables and performance measures

CSG Justice Center staff presented on MENTOR's Collaborative Mentoring Webinar Series April webinar: ReEntry Mentoring: Conversations from the Field on Working with System-Involved Youth.
CSG's portion of the presentation focused on the content of our to be published document "Mentoring as a Component of Reentry" with an emphasis on basic reentry principles. 

The purpose of this meeting was to plan the establishment of a national business roundtable in September focused on the employment of people with criminal records. We envision this roundtable launching later this year, at a meeting co-chaired by two state governors (one Republican and one Democrat). The purpose of this roundtable is to inform efforts to accomplish the following goals:
-Equip businesses with resources to make informed decisions about hiring an applicant with a criminal record; and
