CSG Justice Center staff met with Kellie Dressler-Blue and Nicole Dennis to discuss next year's solicitations in an effort to align with Second Chance Act work with the new_Administration's priorities._
CSG Justice Center staff met with Alysia Bell from ACCE to discuss their employer engagement grant, and_discussed the status of the contract (with CSG now), reporting requirements, and_deliverables. _Also had a brief discussion about sustaining the work after the grant period.
CSG Justice Center staff attended the IDOC's SRR_Kick-off event on September 14th. CSG_Staff presented their work with the IDOC, and the Carey Group conducted a training for the Wardens and Deputy Wardens in attendance.
After the even, CSG staff met with Alexis Dean and the CArey Group to discuss Reentry strategy in Indiana, and continuing to build support for EBPs across the state by Commissioner Carter. The Carey Group will continue providing ongoing CQI.
CSG Justice Center staff conducted a site visit the the IDOC Corrections, and also toured Pinkneyville Correctional Facility. While there, staff discussed the ongoing SRR activities in the state, and also provided CSG staff with initial impact of T4C at Pinkneyville. CSG staff also discussed Southern Illinois University's recently released report on Programming in IL, and laid out next steps for implementation.
CSG staff also met with John Baldwin, Commissioner of Corrections in Illinois, and discussed strategies for branding SRR in IL to continue to stimulate culture change.
CSG Justice Center staff met with the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce as part of the ACCE employment contract. The TA focused on engaging employer members in reentry and workforce programming and on building relationships with reentry and workforce organizations and funders in Chicago. See attached follow up letter.
CSG Justice Center staff provided TA to partners meeting on post-release planning. Goal was to determine post-release services for program graduates.
Was in Detroit for personal reasons, so no reimbursement submitted for travel expenses.
CSG Justice Center staff attended CT DOC's SRR_Kick-off conference.
CSG Justice Center staff visited NM?as part of Improving Outcomes for Youth Initiative to present findings from system?assessment?and?meet with additional stakeholders and to learn more about NM juvenile justice challenges.?
TA Request from Oglala Sioux Tribe for motivational interviewing training for community corrections, behavioral health and youth program personnel. This TA would be a building block to the TA NCJTC provided to the tribe under the SMART Office SORNA Tribal TTA project for protective factors training.
