To effectively address the opioid addiction epidemic, city, county, State, and Tribal entities must understand the trends in PRSS and develop the skills and tools to apply the best practices of PRSS across various systems. This multi-track training is designed to enhance jurisdiction’s capacity to plan and implement effective PRSS.

APIA requests assistance in planning for better coordination and delivery of services to the Alaska Villages they support. These services involve Public Safety and VPSO training, Mental and Behavioral Health service delivery, and Self Governance. The challenge for them is the vast delivery area they serve causes them to focus on individual need or crisis response rather than a uniform delivery across all of the 12 Villages.
